Hey Everyone,

           Know The Surprising

                Ways By Which

                   These People Got

                     Their Jobs

WANT TO GET NOTICED BY FACEBOOK?

Hack the site and redesign some profiles to look like MySpace profiles. That's what Chris Putnam of Austin, Texas, USA, did. When the subterfuge was discovered, executives at Facebook experienced the three stages of 'What the ...!!!' First they were angry. Then they were sort of impressed. That segued into, "Hey, let's hire him!" And they did.

WHO DOESN'T LOVE CHOCOLATE ?

That's what Nick Begley thought. So he designed his resume to look like a chocolate-bar wrapper and folded it around Nestle Crunch bars. He called it a ResumeBar, with the tagline : "Credentials that will satisfy any organization's appetite." One sated organization offered Nick a job.

IF CHOCOLATE DOESN'T WORK,

You can always get your  future boss plastered. Unemployed graphic designer Brennan Gleason combined his love of brewing with his need to put food on the table and created a resume in the form of a four pack of homemade beer. Each bottle of Resum - Ale, as well as the packaging, featured his CV's details, Gleason is no longer unemployed

AFTER BEING TURNED DOWN FOR 250 JOBS

Social media specialist Adam Pacitti threw himself at the mercy of prospective employers.

The Brit rented a billboard that screamed: "I spent my last 500 pounds on this billboard. Please give me a job," Sixty companies went to his website, employees.com, to offer him a job.
HUMANS ARE VAIN,

And we like to look ourselves up online. With this in mind, Alec Brownstein bought an ad on Google.

He titled it 'Ian Reichenthal,' then linked it to his own portfolio. Reichenthal, at the same time, was the creative director at an ad agency.

When he Googled himself, the first result was an ad with his name and Brownstein's resume. " It was great," Reichenthal told CBS, "So unusual and fun," Which is why he hired Brownstein.

       To Make Your Home

        Spic And Span

    auracompletesolutions.blogspot.com

Every Corner of your house needs a unique approach to stay dirt-free.Get ready for squeaky clean interiors with these secrets

  • Vinegar and water is a great deoderizer for a musty bathroom.Spray your shower down as you're getting out.It really absorbs the odours, and the smell of vinegar goes away in an hour.
  • Spray glass with white vinegar diluted in water, then wipe off with newspaper for a streak-free-shine.
  • Don't vaccum your bathroom mats. You'll save time and achieve a better clean by tossing them into the wash once a week.
  • It's best to mop wooden floors with plain water or a water based floor cleaner. Don't use vinegar. The acid in it will pit your polyurethane finish, can void your warranty, and may reduce shine over time.
  • To clean a microwave oven, microwave a cup of water with some bicarbonate of soda in it until it's boiling. This eliminates odours and makes it super easy to wipe away all the sticky leftovers.
  • Clean up hard to reach cobwebs with a long stick covered by an old sock.
  • Use lemon oil on a sponge to wipe bathroom tiles after you have cleaned them. This will help bring out the shine and will also prevent build up of mould.

Chewing Gum -Know About Its Surprising Positive Effects On Our Brain

This post may contain affiliate links, including Amazon.com(and affiliate Sites/Stores.)Any One Can Shop from this blog.Using links to these sites means I may earn a small percentage from  purchases made at no extra cost to you.

Hey Everyone,

Chewing Gum - Know About Its

Surprising Positive Effects

On Our Brain

auracompletesolutions.blogspot.com

Though we may think of chewing gum as something that is a recent thing for mankind, surprisingly it is not so. Chewing gum or bark or chicle (the milky latex of the sapodilla tree, formerly chewed by the Aztecs and now used to make chewing gum) has been around for centuries now. Even the ancient civilizations like Aztec talk about chewing gums. With a lot of curiosity, studies were conducted to see what other effects do chewing gums have.

As early as in 1939, Leta Hollingsworth did some detailed studies and came up with linkages between chewing gum and cognitive functions.

Over the subsequent years, though more detailed understanding of the chewing process and the neural pathway is established, more correlation has been established. It has been shown to have benefits on memory alertness, anxiety, improved learning and hunger management.
What sort of gum are you chewing - that also decides the effect it has.
The texture, flavour and density are some of the parameters that need to be considered. The most common explanation is that chewing gum improves blood flow to the brain and therefore has these beneficial effects.

Chewing a gum induces what is known as "mastication-induced arousal."
Mastication or chewing in layman terms, of the gum induces production of certain chemicals in the brain and also gives a form of physical exercise that promotes blood flow and thereby improves performance. What is also interesting is that studies showed improved performance if the gum is chewed before the test, but had no significant result if chewed during the test.
Chewing gum is also shown to reduce cortisol levels
That explains why anxiety is better managed by people who constantly chew gum. In addition, for people with depression too, this simple, easily available gum may be the best method of treatment. It has been shown to stimulate the ventral part of the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for causing depression.
In the workplace, it is not uncommon to see chew gums in the midst of meetings to improve their focus.
Studies have actually shown a relationship between chewing gum and improved focus, productivity, efficiency and improved professionalism. When a survey was conducted at the end of the day, gum chewers reported higher levels of happiness being at the job with reduced fatigue and stress.

For the next level of confirmation, studies have been done where EEG and MRI scans have been done to establish the relationship between chewing gum and improved brain function. This needs some more corroboration, which will happen in the coming years, but the benefits of chewing gum are undoubted.

Hey Everyone,

           Know And Understand Its

               Possible To Become A

                Virtuoso At Any Age

auracompletesolutions.blogspot.com

From turning down the music to snacking on fish, the latest research on how to improve your ability learn.

If you dream of appearing on stage at a concert hall but worry that a lack of childhood music lessons has thwarted your musical ambition, some good news researchers at the University of Chicago have determined that absolute, or "perfect," pitch the ability to identify and reproduce a note after hearing it - may be learnt into adulthood.

It's often assumed that early musical training is necessary to encode notes or scales in our brains.

But according to senior researcher Howard Nusbaum , a psychology professor at the University of Chicago, USA. "We may not be so limited to these narrow biological windows,".

In fact, adults with a higher auditory working memory ( that, is an innate knack for remembering sounds, in general) significantly improved their ability to recreate near-perfect notes during simulations in Nusbaum's lab.

This finding refutes earlier theories that suggested perfect pitch is an innate quality. "The most important way to become a better musician at any age is to practise playing music,"
Nusbaum says ," but having perfect pitch won't hurt."

Hey Everyone,

           Know

             One Can Still Live Anywhere

               In This World Without

                Any Apprehension

auracompletesolutions.blogspot.com

I was wandering around the Albuquerque airport in the US. My flight had been delayed, and I heard an announcement : "If anyone near Gate A-4 understands Arabic, please come to the gate immediately."Gate A-4 was my own gate I went there.

An older woman was crumpled on the floor, wailing. In her traditional Palestinian embroidered dress, she reminded me of my grandmother.

"Talk to her,"urged the flight agent.

"We told her the flight was going to be late, and she did this."

I stooped to put in my arm around the woman and spoke haltingly.

"Shu-dow-u, shu-bid-uck,habibti? Stani Schway,min fadlick,shu-bitse-wee?"

She stopped crying. She thought the flight had been cancelled. She needed to be in El Paso,Texas, for a medical treatment the next day. I said,"You'll get there, just late. Who is picking you up? Let's call him."

We called her son. In English,I told him that I would stay with his mother until we got on the plane. She talked with him. Then we called her other sons just for fun. Then we called my dad, and they spoke for a while in Arabic and found out that they had shared ten friends. After that, I called some Palestinian poets I know and let them chat with her.

She was laughing a lot by then, patting my knee, answering questions. She pulled a sack homemade mamool cookies - little crumbly stuffed with dates and nuts and topped with sugar from her bag and offered them to the women at the gate. To my amazement, no one declined. I t was like a sacrament. The traveller from Argentina, the mom from California, the lovely woman from Laredo we were all smiling, covered with the same sugar.

I looked around the gate and thought,This is the world I want to live in, One with no apprehension.

This can still happen anywhere, Not everything is lost.
